Bicol University aims to be a University for Humanity with graduate employability being a key performance indicator. The study investigates the employment outcomes and satisfaction of Bicol University College of Nursing (BUCN) graduates, the alignment of the nursing curriculum with market demands, and areas for enhancing graduate competitiveness. The study aimed to analyze the employment outcomes of BUCN graduates from 2018 to 2022, assess the conformity of academic courses with employer requirements, and develop recommendations for program improvement. A mixed-methods approach was employed, using quantitative and qualitative data from online surveys of 352 graduates, with a 30% sample size. Findings revealed that most BS in Nursing graduates are employed within six months after graduation in positions aligned with their education. Financial factors primarily influenced employment decisions. Graduates faced challenges such as inadequate experience and limited job vacancies. There is a strong correlation between nursing education and job roles, with graduates and employers agreeing on program competencies. Employers recommended curriculum enhancements for evolving healthcare demands. These include integrating specialized areas such as artificial intelligence, risk management, trauma care nursing, and others with continuous implementation of blended learning strategies. The study highlights the need to enhance practical training through advanced simulation techniques and blended learning to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and skills. Addressing these challenges aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which aims to ensure equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. Furthermore, the emphasis on enhancing graduate employability and aligning educational outcomes with labor market demands contributes to SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. Recommendations include addressing regional job market limitations, promoting continuous learning, and enhancing technological proficiency to meet global healthcare trends. These findings provide valuable insights for improving nursing education programs to strengthen graduate employability in an evolving healthcare landscape.
