Sustainable agriculture is essential for ensuring food security, environmental conservation, and economic stability in rural communities. However, the effective adoption of sustainable farming practices largely depends on farmers’ access to knowledge, skills, and training programs on top of social and financial capital. This study assessed the impact of agricultural training in addressing key factors affecting sustainable rural agriculture and the adoption and implementation of sustainable farming techniques and assessed the effectiveness of capacity-building training and experiential learning programs and activities in enhancing farmers’ awareness, skills, and long-term commitment to sustainable practices. Data were collected through surveys, interviews, and case studies of farmers who have participated in training initiatives. The findings indicate that knowledge and experience in training on sustainable farming practices help farmers understand the concept of sustainable agriculture. The study also provides insights into how education and capacity-building initiatives can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ultimately contributing to more resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.
