Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the various operations management strategies used by hotels and resorts in Aurora Province, Northern Philippines. It focuses on factors such as a business establishment’s location, number of rooms, ownership and classification, years of operation, and services and amenities offered. It decisively analyzes key aspects of business operations—organizational management, marketing, technical operations, and financial management—while evaluating the significant economic impact of the accommodation sector in Aurora Province. It employs the input-output-process (IPO) model as its framework. This model helps visualize processes by outlining the inputs, the steps involved, and the outputs to assess operations management in the accommodation industry. Input refers to the data and information gathered to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operations within accommodation establishments. The process involves analyzing the collected data through questionnaires, interviews, and statistical treatments to identify trends and patterns in the quantitative data. The output aims to generate valuable insights that can enhance operations management and inform policy recommendations. Accommodation businesses can gain critical insights into operations, identify areas for improvement, and achieve greater sustainability and success. This paper advocates strategic investments in market research and targeted marketing, as well as promoting skill development and improving digital payment systems. These recommendations aim to ensure adaptability and growth in a dynamic market.
