This study aims to examine the characteristics of households in Barangay Cabitan and their impact on the community's livelihood. Using a mixed-method approach, data was collected from a representative sample of households using a survey and focus group discussions. Results indicate that the 62.5% majority of households in Barangay Cabitan are low-income earners with limited access to resources and services. This has resulted in various livelihood issues such as unemployment, underemployment, and low productivity. In addition, the study reveals that gender, education, and household size are significant factors influencing household livelihood. Findings suggest that comprehensive interventions and community-based programs should prioritize the improvement of livelihood opportunities for the most vulnerable households to ensure sustainable development in the community.
